Whether you were issued a traffic citation, arrested for DUI or drugs, or indicted on federal fraud charges, our Stamford, Connecticut criminal defense attorneys can help. The established law firm of Brandner & Ponzini represents citizens facing any misdemeanor or felony charges in state or federal courts of Fairfield and New Haven counties. Improve your legal position by contacting us immediately at (203) 327-5609. We provide a free case evaluation.

DUI Defense

We strive to avoid the harshest penalties for drunk driving in Connecticut, including steep fines, jail, and a criminal record. If it is your first DUI arrest and there was no accident or injury, you may qualify for pre-trial diversion that dismisses charges if you complete the program. Conviction for a second offense results in mandatory jail time (48 hours minimum) or 100 hours of community service.

Brandner & Ponzini will vigorously defend against the criminal charges and represent you at the DMV license suspension hearing or refusal hearing. We have a solid record in obtaining a limited driver's license (work permit) for clients.

Traffic Offenses

Our lawyers often obtain a dismissal or a reduced charge to avoid suspension of your license. We handle speeding tickets, driving after suspension or revocation, driving without insurance, reckless driving, hit and run, running a red light or stop sign, or any other traffic violation.

Juvenile Defense

In representing youths accused of crimes, our focus is (a) arranging for them to be treated within the juvenile court system, and (b) getting them help to prevent re-offending, such as chemical dependency treatment or psychological counseling.

Misdemeanor and Felony Defense

Brandner & Ponzini excels at trial and in pre-trial plea negotiations. Our criminal defense practice extends to all state and federal courts, including hearings, court trials, and jury trials, to help clients answer to any criminal charges:

  • Drug possession or sale
  • Assault
  • Rape / criminal sexual conduct
  • Murder or manslaughter
  • Embezzlement
  • Juvenile offenses
  • Domestic violence
  • Shoplifting and theft
